簡介 Introduction

 

讀寫障礙是特殊學習障礙 中的一種。有讀寫障礙的孩子,雖然有常規的 學習經驗,但卻有閱讀和書寫困難。一般來說,他們的記憶力較弱,訊息處理的速度也較慢。他們的語音處理、視覺及聽覺認知能力、專注力、分辨左右、列序或組織等能力可能較弱。根據2007年的一個調查所得,全港約有9.7-12.6%學生面對這學習困難。目前,大部分懷疑有讀寫障礙的學生均在小一上學期被適別,但他們需要等待6-18個月才能接受正式評估,等待期間並未獲得任何學習支援。

Dyslexia is a learning disorder marked by impairment of the ability to recognize and comprehend written words. According to a study by Chan, Ho, Tsang & Lee in 2007, it is estimated that 9.7-12.6% of students in Hong Kong are affected by dyslexia. Without correct identification and support, dyslexia can be a barrier to learning and can lead to failure at school or exclusion. At present, students suspected with dyslexia are mostly identified in first semester of Primary 1, but these students need to wait for 6-18 months to receive assessment from educational psychologist. During the waiting period, no support would be available to them.

 

為填補服務縫隙,及早對有讀寫障礙的學生提供支援,我們於2012年推出由法巴投資全力贊助的--讀樂樂 寫樂樂計劃,預計有215名受惠學童。

To fill the service gap and provide early support to suspected dyslexic students, we have launched “Read Write Fun” program which is sponsored and fully supported by BNP Paribas Investment Partners in 2012. It is estimated that there would be 215 beneficiaries.

 

此計劃自20122月開始,在數節訓練後,老師表示部份參加學童的學習表現明顯有進步,學童上課時比參加前更專注。

Since the start of the program in February 2012, the teachers have expressed that some of the students have been having obvious progress and better attention in class after several training sessions.
